Purpose of Position
The Registered Nurse is required to work in all roles within the CAU which includes scrub, scout, haemodynamic monitoring and recovery nursing utilising PPE (eg Lead gowns, protective eyewear, etc).
Please note: This role is required to work 10 hour shifts in accordance with service requirements and the NSW Public Health System Nurses’ and Midwives”' (STATE) Award 2015.
Combined upper body movements involving hands, arms and upper body to provide downward pressure, up to 35kg – this task is specific to manual compression for arterial haemostasis. Rarely compression up to 45kg has been required.
Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA
Recent clinical experience in Cardiac Angiography and/or Cardiac nursing and/or Critical Care nursing
Well developed and effective communication, negotiation, time management and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and commitment to evidence based practice and quality improvement
Demonstrated ability to work individually and within a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated computer literacy
Competent in interpretation of cardiac rhythms and management of patients with chest pain.
Demonstrated commitment to Caring for the Coast vision, goals and strategies, with demonstrated behaviours which align with the NSW Health CORE values and CCLHD Values and behaviours charter.
