Salary: Remuneration package of up to $98,484 p.a. (+ any other applicable allowances/benefits) comprising salary range of $67,295 - $86,316 p.a. (Nurse Grade 5), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%).
About North West Hospital and Health Service
The North West Hospital and Health Service covers an area of over 300,000 square kilometres and services the rural and remote communities within North Western Queensland and the Gulf of Carpentaria. The Health Service includes the City of Mount Isa and the towns and areas of Burketown, Camooweal, Cloncurry, Dajarra, Doomadgee, Julia Creek, Karumba, Normanton and Mornington Island.
About the role
This role provides clinical, woman centred-care for women and their babies within the Maternity unit.

About the unit
The North West Hospital Maternity Unit is the referral centre for all pregnant women in the district and for a small Northern Territory community. The Maternity Unit provides care to women and their families within its Antenatal service, Antenatal/Postnatal Inpatient Unit, Birthing Unit, Special Care Nursery and Home Visiting program. The Unit is eight beds, with a three bed Birthing Suite and a three cot Special Care Nursery. The Nursery has CPAP and ventilator capabilities, undertaking short term respiratory support for newborns, or stabilisation before transfer to a Tertiary facility for ongoing management. The Unit has approximately 500 births per year.
