About the role
The Registered Midwife is an integral part of the multidisciplinary maternity team providing woman centred care that is focused on the woman's individual needs, expectations and aspirations to achieve optimal birthing outcomes for women and their babies.

The Registered Midwife will coordinate and deliver high quality midwifery care to women and families within Maternity services consistent with NSW Health, WNSWLHD guiding documents and standards.

The Registered Midwife will work as part of midwifery services within the Maternity Antenatal and Postnatal Program (MAPP) providing continuity of midwifery care throughout the antenatal and postnatal period including midwifery in the home for woman of all risk.

The Registered Midwife will provide care focused on each woman's need as the primary carer for low-risk women or in a collaboration with the woman's primary carer for women with identified risk, or women who choose GP shared care.
