About the role

In the position of Principle House Officer/Registrar you will be expected to participate in the provision of high-level inpatient and emergency clinical services within West Morton Rural Services and to ensure that safe, high quality, patient centred care is provided to all within West Moreton Health. In the role of Principle House Officer/Registrar you will be supported and encouraged to expand your education and training in inpatient and emergency medicine in a rural context and become an important member of a dynamic and passionate rural generalist team.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Competence and capability in primary rural medical practice and/or emergency medicine (particularly hospital-based practice)
  • Experience in delivering quality care to inpatients, outpatients and Emergency Department clients across a variety of acuity and care needs.
  • Knowledge and practical application of the National Quality & Safety Standards through the delivery of Safe and Quality focussed Patient centred care.
  • Excellent communication and ability to function in a multidisciplinary team and to provide leadership within the team.
  • Experience and commitment in education and training of medical staff and/or medical students.
