A Southern TAS hospital requires a Specialist in Internal Medicine from 07/05/2024 to 11/08/2024.

SHIFTS:

ASAP to 11 August 2024 (possible extension)

The General Medicine Department is the biggest inpatient Department at the hospital, with 6 General Medicine Teams looking after approximately 100 inpatients, including COVID patients at this point in time. We receive approximately 15 referrals for admission through the Emergency Department a day. We also support an outpatient clinic, for new and review patients.
We seek consultant level applicants with acute, inpatient General Medicine experience to run one of our Inpatient teams of approximately 20 inpatients, to manage a variety of acute presentations and provide inpatient care throughout their hospital stay. The role also requires supervising the junior medical staff on those teams.
