Purpose of Position
To provide effective Triage/Referral and Mental Health Advice to consumers, carers, family and communities in the Hunter New England Local Health District.
To conduct mental health assessments via videoconferencing for rural health services and identify appropriate mental health services and care.
Current registration or eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA.
Demonstrated extensive experience working in a mental health clinical setting.
Demonstrated high level problem solving & listening skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret and prioritise information received.
Demonstrated high level computer skills and knowledge including accuracy and speed in data entry, demonstrated knowledge and use of iPM, CAP, Cerner & CHIME programs or the willingness to learn same.
Maintenance of accurate documentation in consumer clinical records, either written or electronic, in accordance with MH-OAT and NSW Health, HNEHS and HNEMHS policies and procedures.
Conduct mental health telephone triage and identify appropriate mental health services that will meet the Consumer's needs.
Be available to work a 7 day rotating roster.
