The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Program will enable the biggest advancement to patient-care in Monash Health history. This implementation is the largest organisation-wide EMR in Australia and will allow clinicians to easily access clinical information in one place. The first go live is scheduled for the first half of 2019.
About the role
The Interface and Data Migration Manager, is a team lead role that is responsible for managing the delivery of the interfaces and data migration work required with the EMR implementation at Monash Health. The individual will report to the EMR Program Manager, Technology and work closely with the broader EMR Program team, the Monash ITS department, Cerner and other vendors. The Interface and Data Migration Manager will manage three (3) existing Integration staff. In order to achieve the highest degree of success the Interface and Data Migration Manager will oversee that project design and implementation activities comply with the overall architecture
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science with extensive experience in creating HL7 interfaces. You will be able to co-ordinate the analysis, technical design, and all issue coordination necessary to support the interface required for the EMR program.
The incumbent will have excellent working knowledge of application support, troubleshooting, development tools and methodologies. In addition, knowledge of healthcare information systems, data structures, application software and hardware platforms will be highly desirable.
You will have demonstrated leadership and coaching experience, including the ability to manage and get the best out of a team.
This role will involve travel between Monash Health campuses and accordingly a current Driver’s Licence is a mandatory requirement.
