Redland Hospital's Nutrition and Dietetics Department are looking for an experienced senior Dietitian to join their team. You will deliver high quality evidenced based Nutrition and Dietetic clinical services to patients/consumers within a highly functioning multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to deliver Senior Dietitian services to the adult Mental Health inpatient unit at Redland Hospital.

This includes:

  • Delivering high quality evidenced based Nutrition and Dietetic clinical services to patients/consumers within a highly functioning multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribution to the advancement of quality Nutrition and Dietetic services and optimal patient care, through provision of service development, quality improvement, and clinical education.
  • Participating in and assisting with the development of relevant quality and research initiatives in conjunction with the senior staff.
  • To provide supervision and training to less experienced (HP3) clinicians, students and to Nutrition Assistants (NA's).

The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics department provides comprehensive clinical dietetic services for inpatients and outpatients within Bayside Health Service.  This includes nutrition risk screening, nutrition assessment, intervention and support for inpatients, and both group and individual counselling of outpatients.  The department also provides a home enteral nutrition service.  The department works with food services to ensure the provision of high-quality therapeutic patient centred menus.  The department has 8.1 FTE Dietitians and 3.73 FTE Nutrition Assistants.
