The Junction Youth Health Service has provided primary healthcare services to young people (12 to 25 yr of age and their dependents) in Canberra for over 20 years with a focus on young people who are homeless or otherwise at risk.The Clinic has 4 consulting rooms and 1 nurse treatment room. We currently have 3 part time GPs, a Primary care NP, an RN, receptionist and 4 full-time Youth Workers.
The Junction Youth Health Service is located centrally in Civic Canberra, on the corner of Cooyong Street and Scott’s crossing (behind the Canberra Centre).Open 5 days Monday – Friday from 09:30 to 16.30,Closed on weekends and Public holidays.
GPs are contracted on an hourly rate of pay with long appointments and allocated walk-in appointment times, along with paid attendance for monthly clinical and team management meetings. This a well-supported and remunerated position providing health care to vulnerable young people using trauma informed multi-disciplinary practice.
We are seeking a GP(s) to join our team for up to 3 days per week.
