Join our dynamic child & adolescent community mental health team. The Kari Centre is an exciting and busy Child and Adolescent Mental Health Outpatient Service with a strong reputation for excellence and innovation. We provide services to children, young people, and their families within the central Auckland area.
Due to an expansion within our service we have vacancies available in our referral’s management and acute focussed team.
Are you a community CAMHS clinician looking for a change of pace and an opportunity to grow your assessment, risk management and brief intervention skills?
Are you a registered Allied Health Professionallooking for 9-5 working hours with no on call required?
Our acute focussed team provides brief mental health assessments with young people and their families to help establish their needs when first referred to Kari Centre, acute assessments for young people in crisis (Onsite or offsite in the emergency department or other locations), at times brief therapeutic interventions, and consult liaison services with professionals and organisations in the community.
This service is in the process of implementing the CHOICE and Partnership model of working (http://www.camhsnetwork.co.uk) with our client group which is evidenced as having extremely good outcomes. You will be fully orientated to this exciting model of care and given time to increase your skill set”.

Ideally you will have previous experience of working with children and Youth within a mental health setting, or experience working in work well as part of a team, and able to function well under pressure. We will consider applications from experienced registered Social Workers and Occupational Therapists.
We have a permanent full-time position available, working Monday to Friday based at Greenlane Clinical Centre. As this is a community role, a full and clean driver’s licence is required.
