We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Grade 2 Senior Speech Pathologist with highly developed interpersonal skills and a commitment to excellence, to join our Speech Pathology Team. This is a fixed-term position commencing February 2022 until September 2022.
Our Speech Pathology Department services a diverse caseload in the acute and subacute inpatient units of our 257-bed hospital. Areas include acute medical, critical care, emergency, stroke, inpatient rehabilitation and inpatient mental health wards. In addition, services are provided to the Community Rehabilitation Service and the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre, which provides radiotherapy services to the area. As the regional referral hospital for Gippsland, LRH plays a lead role in the provision of specialist services and as a major teaching hospital.
This position may include adult inpatient acute or subacute caseload depending on the successful applicant’s skill set and needs of the Speech Pathology Department. Other responsibilities include coordination of the Videofluoroscopy Clinic,implementing and leading quality improvement activities,as well assupervision of Speech Pathology Students, Grade 1 Speech Pathologists and Allied Health Assistants.
The Speech Pathology Department provides regular supervision and supports professional development. The Department also works within a friendly and energetic Allied Health team with a commitment to providing high-quality clinical services with an emphasis on teamwork and continuous improvement.
A Speech Pathology qualification and eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia is essential.
