The details: Permanent Full-time, 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE)

The Waikato DHB Podiatry service is looking for a podiatrist to be part of our team of highly skilled and motivated clinicians who manage people with high-risk feet and active foot disease across the Waikato region.

The Podiatry team is based at the Waikato Regional Diabetes Service 26 Clarence Street, Hamilton and is a permanent position, working Monday to Friday 80 hours per fortnight. In this position, you will work across the in-patient service and various outpatient clinics within Waikato Hospital and the rural based hospitals. We also works closely with the Diabetes, Vascular, Rheumatology and Renal teams and services.

We are looking for someone who has experience in or is willing to develop the skills and knowledge specific to the management of high-risk foot disease. You will work alongside our multi-disciplinary team of clinicians who deliver a high standard of care for people with high-risk foot disease. Experience working within a hospital setting and multidisciplinary teams will be beneficial, however not necessary. There is potential within this role to be involved in clinical based audits and research.

As part of the Waikato Regional Diabetes Service, you will work within the wider multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, dietitians and psychologists. We support on-going professional development for all our staff.

Qualifications and work experience required:

• Podiatrist with current New Zealand practicing certificate

• A current full drivers licence is essential
