About the Role: 
 
We are currently looking for a number of passionate Mental Health Nurses to join our dedicated Health Services Team, being led by our new team of Senior Health Managers. Our focus is to build on your clinical confidence, and create an engaged workforce, with a work/family friendly balance and provide a supportive environment that covers clinical and best practices. Your primary responsibility will be to provide psychiatric nursing services to the Centre and to assist in the provision of suicide prevention programs and strategies. 
 
These roles are Monday-Friday, on a rostered basis, working between 8am-4pm.

Skills and Experience: 
 
Our ideal candidates will have:
  • Qualified Registered Nurse, with current AHPRA Registration. 
  • Current working knowledge of the MHOAT system, NSW Mental Health Act 2007.
  • Professional tertiary qualifications in Mental Health and/or a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in Mental Health/Psychiatric practice. 
  • Competence in the performance of the following functions: Medical emergencies, Physical assessment, Crisis intervention, Medical & Psychiatric nursing care, Venipuncture.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, in the delivery of mental health services.  
  • Good communication and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and cultural awareness.
  • Resilience - some patients could be confronting.

Sign on bonus: A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is available for applicants that commence in permanent full-time positions, conditions apply.
