Are you an independent, skilled social worker or psychologist who has experience in the trauma counselling field? Then this may be the opportunity that you have been looking for! Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District currently has both Full Time and Part Time permanent positions available as a Trauma Counsellor, Sexual Assault Service. The role will entail both crisis and traditional counselling interventions and will suit applicants with a desire to participate in a fast-paced team with client centred values. 
The successful candidate will be part of a tertiary trauma counselling service that fosters ongoing professional development.

The Sexual Assault Counsellor is responsible for the provision of specialist therapeutic and case management services to adults and children who have been sexually assaulted or who are under the age of 10 years with problematic and sexually harmful behaviours, and their non-offending family members. The Sexual Assault Service is aligned with Prevention and Response to Violence Abuse and Neglect (PARVAN) which develops policy and supports services for children, young people and adults who are victims of violence, abuse or neglect.
