What you'll be doing:
An exciting opportunity to join the NBMLHD Team as an Assistant in Nursing on a Temporary Full Time basis, located at Blue Mountains Hospital.

The role of the Assistant in Nursing is to: 

  • Assist in Nursing (AIN) provide support to the nursing team in an acute care environment as directed by the Registered Nurse/Midwife
  • Provide direct care activities to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife
  • Assist Registered Nurse/Midwives and Enrolled Nurses with patient care interventions as directed and within the scope of practice
  • Contribute to collecting accurate health care information and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required
  • Communicate effectively with patients and other health care team members in accordance with appropriate protocol
