About the role:
Are you ready to step up into clinical leadership?
This role is suitable for a dentist with some clinical experience looking for a career opportunity in leading clinical service provision in a small rural clinic, including mentoring of junior clinicians.
The Oral Health Service in Western NSW Local Health District has a supportive and friendly culture. The Parkes Community Dental Clinic is a modern 3 chair dental clinic. The position will also service the 2 chair Forbes Community Dental Clinic and other outreach locations.
If you are the successful applicant you will also be entitled to the Management Allowance - between $7,138.00 and $14,412.00 (depending on management experience).
You will also receive an allowance of $10.09 per hour under the Dental Officers Rural Incentive Scheme (DORIS).

Where you’ll be working:
Parkes hospital is part of the Lachlan Health Service (which also includes nearby Forbes hospital) and is a major district health service and procedural hospital built in 2015 making it a world-class, contemporary facility that is a highly sought after to work in.
With 28 inpatient beds, Parkes hospital provides acute and sub-acute, medical, surgical, rehabilitation and palliative care services for the region. The hospital boasts two birthing rooms three maternity beds, two operating theatres, chemotherapy, medical imaging and co-located community and primary health services which includes outreach to the surrounding towns and region.
With such a broad population and diverse range of services you will have many more opportunities to experience a wide variety of presentations, building your skills base and fast tracking your career.
Famous for its annual Elvis Festival and the CSIRO Parkes Radio Telescope (‘the Dish’), the historic town of Parkes is located in the Central West less than five hours drive from Sydney with daily return flights and rail transport options. Cosmopolitan Orange is just over an hour away and in less than two hours you can be in Dubbo home of Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
