About the role
The TACP Occupational Therapist, in conjunction with the multidisciplinary TACP team, will work with clients to achieve their goals and ensure safe discharge from the program.The position is a community role, covering the Sydney Local Health District geographical area. TACP has its office base at Concord Hospital, but you may be asked to commence or finish work from other SLHD locations which include RPA, Canterbury and Balmain Hospitals. Due to these mobile arrangements, some work related activities will require use of your own car.
We are looking for someone who
  • Has a degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA).
  • Currently holds a valid NSW driver’s licence (P2 licence acceptable.
  • Has postgraduate Occupational Therapy experience, including aged care and/or rehabilitation and experience delivering Occupational Therapy services in the community setting.
  • Demonstrated high level skill in the comprehensive assessment of older adults, and people with physical disabilities and the development of relevant care plans.

About working for SLHD
This is a Category A position. To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy (PD2020_017)
