The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) provides care to more than 400,000 people living in the northern metropolitan area of Adelaide as well as providing a number of state-wide services, and services to those in regional areas. NALHN offers a range of primary health care services across the northern metropolitan area of Adelaide, with a focus on providing preventive and health promoting programs in the community, and transition and hospital substitution and avoidance programs targeted at chronic disease and frail aged.

In this key role as a Dietitian (AHP1/ AHP2)you will apply clinical experience, increasing clinical knowledge and professional competence to plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive and integrated services to the needs of clients of Northern Adelaide Local Health Network.You will work under direct (AHP1) or limited direct (AHP2) clinical supervision and may provide direction and support to less experience therapists, allied health assistants and students.In this role you will be accountable to the Senior Manager of Northern Adelaide Rehabilitation Service for the provision assessment and treatment services inpatients and outpatients of NALHN, which aims to optimise health outcomes. The incumbent will rotate through a series of clinical services.
As a Dietitian you will work collaboratively with the Allied Health multi-disciplinary team and liaise directly with medical, nursing staff and with other community agencies.
As a Dietitian (AHP2)you must work towards and meet the Statewide Generic Core Competencies Framework.
To be eligible for this position you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA).
