A Northern NT hospital requires a Specialist in General Practice from 11/04/2023 to 02/06/2023.
This position is based in Darwin and provide FIFO for 4 days per week on site at Wadeye Monday to Thursday along with another GP and one day in the Casuarina Plaza Office
GP based in the community of Wadeye 270 km southwest of Darwin (417 kms by road) or 50 minutes by air. Wadeye is located at the mouth of the Fitzmaurice River, close to the coast of the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf. Population approximately 2700.
Work is undertaken in a multi-disciplinary team delivering clinical and public health services to the residents of the Wadeye community and surrounding outstations. Clinical support is provided by the Aerial Medical Service telephone consultations and medical retrievals. Royal Darwin Hospital is the regional hospital and provides tertiary care.
Clinic hours are from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. On call - a Nurse on call responds to any call outs and contacts the onsite RMP if advised by the DMO oncall
Locum rate: $1,800 per day Please not public holidays are not paid as Health Centre is closed.
