This is your opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience in nursing activities, as part of the professional and dedicated team in the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network. Assisting with the provision of professional, high quality care aimed at improving patient health outcomes, you will assist Registered Nurses with routine tasks with patients associated with the activities of daily living. This will include personal care duties for patients, as well as technical support functions at the level of setting up for nursing procedures, cleaning equipment and managing local stock levels. You will help to maintain a physically and culturally safe environment for patients and staff, alerting the Registered Nurses to any patient or visitor concerns, questions or complaints. You will work at all times under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your work may also be overseen by an Enrolled Nurse within a care team.

To apply for this role, you will be enrolled as a student in an undergraduate program in nursing or midwifery, and have completed any training relevant to the safe and competent performance of work at this level. Motivated and keen to learn, you will be able to follow instructions and possess effective verbal and written communication skills. You will dedicated to providing person-centred care and be capable of engaging with Aboriginal communities in a culturally-appropriate manner. Your ability to work across a range of sites and adapt to different work environments will hold you in good stead for this role.
