Join our Perioperative team as a casual registered nurse and help support patients post anaesthesia.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU). PACU is considered a high acuity area given the potential for rapid and unexpected patient deterioration and adverse events.
About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse in our PACU, your responsibilities will include:

Assess individual patient/client needs, plan, implement, and coordinate appropriate service delivery, collaborating with other disciplines or agencies.

Provide direct person-centred nursing care and individual case management, taking increasing autonomy over time.

Offer health promotion and education to patients/clients and their families to improve individual health outcomes.

Support nursing/midwifery practice and facilitate learning experiences for students during clinical placements, orientation for new staff, and preceptorship of graduates.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous experience in PACU and perioperative setting is highly desirable.
