  • $35.58 - $48.55 per hour + 25% casual loading – Casual (up to 27 November 2024) – RN/RM1
As part of a supportive team of experienced nurses, you will contribute to the delivery of high quality nursing care aimed at improving patient and resident health outcomes. Assessing individual patient needs, you will plan, implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options. You will also provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes of individual patients or groups. It is expected that you will provide support and guidance to newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and other workers providing basic nursing care. Barmera Health Service provides acute services ranging from in-hospital care for adults and children by local general practitioners to outpatients and aged care beds. General medical care includes inpatient, outpatient and same day stays, and Accident & Emergency services are provided 24 hours a day, seven days per week. Barmera Health Service offers residential aged care facilities at two locations, Hawdon House and Bonney Lodge.
You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With demonstrated competence in nursing practice and the ability to confidently deliver care to a wide range of patients, you will have effective communication skills, including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. With the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads, you will be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.
