About your opportunity:
Fixed term temporary flexible / Flexible/Ongoing opportunities available for Speech Pathologists and Speech Pathologists - Seniors / Location: Townsville University Hospital
Deliver high level speech pathology clinical services and leadership in an area of cancer care, medical and rehabilitation, surgical, and/or paediatrics for the Speech Pathology Department and Townsville Hospital multidisciplinary teams to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
- Clinical Expertise: Demonstrated clinical knowledge, experience and skill in speech pathology services.
- Communication: Demonstrated abilities to work as part of the speech pathology team including the provision of clinical advice related to speech pathology service delivery to senior managers and other stakeholders.
- Clinical Ability: Demonstrated knowledge and abilities to apply evidence-based principles to facilitate clinical decisions concerning speech pathology interventions.
- Clinical Management: Demonstrated ability to implement workload management strategies and participate in local service improvement initiatives and research projects.
- Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work in a cohesive multidisciplinary team environment.

Generous remuneration package value up to $132,730 p.a. (HP3) or $152,775 p.a. (HP4) comprising:
- 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements:
- The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Speech Therapy/Pathology providing eligibility for practicing membership to Speech Pathology Australia.
- Certified Practicing Speech Pathology Status with Speech Pathology Australia is desirable.
- The position will be required to participate in the weekend roster.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
