Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

In this role you will be working at Greenlane Surgical Unit based in Epsom. We offer elective surgical services for day and overnight stay for a variety of specialities for both Adults and Paediatrics, including: Paediatric & adult Ophthalmology, Urology, Dental, ORL, General Surgery, paediatric Orthopaedics and adult gynaecology. This position is in our Pre-op area. You will be welcoming and performing responsibilities for elective admissions, managing the nursing check- in process. You may also be required to help out in PACU, Stage 2, assessing and preparing patients for discharge home, on day of surgery.

This is a fulltime,fixed term(1 year) role; The hours of work are Monday-Friday 0730-1600/ with a 0800-1630 shift once a week.

You are an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse ready to hone your acute skills and critical decision making.You will preferably already have New Zealand experience working in high acuity surgical nursing and are ready to further develop your practice within the Perioperative environment.

You will be part of a high performing and supportive team who all have a common passion, care and enthusiasm for delivering a high quality experience and outcome for our patients.
