  1. Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology and/or clinical psychology with appropriate psychologist registration and/or eligibility for membership with the AASW.
  2. Able to participate on an after hours child protection on call roster.
  3. Demonstrated ‘Senor level’ social work/psychology skills and experience in: - Working Children and Families who have experience Violence Abuse and Neglect - Providing therapeutic resources to victims of sexual assault and physical abuse and neglect of children. - Engaging with children, young people, families, and communities - Demonstrated ability to manage the development of therapeutic responses to meet demand and client needs. - Experience in the provision of crisis response and intervention to children and families.
  4. Demonstrated capacity to work in partnership with key multi-disciplinary and interagency stakeholders. - High level of written and verbal communication skills - Interagency negotiation skills. - Knowledge of relevant Local health district referral networks. - Working with a crisis response environment
  5. Understanding of the legislation, Government policies, including NSW Health policies, and legal issues surrounding Child protection, sexual assault and the physical abuse and neglect of children.
  6. Previous experience working with Aboriginal communities and/or demonstrated understanding of issues surrounding child sexual assault, physical abuse and neglect of children and family violence in Aboriginal communities.
  7. Demonstrated ability to work, independently, under pressure, manage projects and meet deadlines with minimal management instruction.
  8. Current NSW drivers licence.
