Here is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist, who is passionate about working with children and their families and is looking for a challenging and rewarding role within the friendly and professional Starship Child Health team.

· Part-time permanent position (0.6FTE/24 hours per week) working in Starship Community

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and dynamic Clinical Psychologist who will work with a child development focus as part of the Starship Community team, with the benefit of being professionally linked to the Starship Consult Liaison and Paediatrician teams. This dynamic position provides high-quality clinical psychology assessment and intervention to children and young people with developmental and disability needs and their families/whānau.

Based at Greenlane Clinical Centre, Starship Community Service provides interdisciplinary care and cultural support to children, young people and their whānau living within the Te Toka Tumai Auckland district. Children and their caregivers are seen in their homes, schools, clinics and other community settings.

Within both services, you would be working alongside experienced psychology colleagues and have a connection with the MDT. The teams are friendly, hard-working and motivated to provide high-quality assessments and interventions for children; young people and their whānau attending Starship Child Health.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

To apply for this role,you must be a New Zealand Registered Clinical Psychologist with a current Annual Practising Certificate and clean full driver’s licence. Experience working with children with disabilities is desired. Whilst working closely with the interdisciplinary team, the ability to work autonomously in a multi-cultural environment is essential.
