The Team

The Office of National Intelligence (ONI) Psychological Services team is a dynamic growing team.

The team provides ONI with a range of services including but not limited to initial and ongoing assessment of employee suitability to work in a highly secure environment, in house psychological intervention/counselling for staff and management, provision of evidence-informed psycho-education programs in addition to coaching and team building initiatives.

 

The Role

Psychological Services is seeking an adaptable and highly capable, EL1 psychologist to join our vibrant and growing team in Canberra.

As a Psychologist at ONI you will deliver psychological services using your analytical, assessment and psychological risk knowledge to undertake tasks including:

  • Managing and promoting staff well-being programs in accordance with the strategic direction of the organisation under the Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategic Framework;
  • Providing analysis on current psychological trends in organisational health and staff wellbeing;
  • Management of a small caseload in the provision of counselling and brief interventions to staff;
  • Oversight and facilitation of extern
  • alist input to management and stakeholders on behavioural science related issues as required.

 

Key Attributes

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of a range of training programs;
  • Experience in the provision of evidence-informed psychotherapeutic interventions;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across a range of forums; and
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage own workload.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate studies, or completing studies in Clinical, Organisational or Forensic Psychology;
  • At least two years post-graduate experience;
  • Unconditional registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency; and

Eligibility for full registration with the Australian Psychological Society, preferably with endorsement in one of three fields listed above.
