About the role

To build the continued focus of person-centered care within the organisation, ARRCS are actively recruiting two additional experienced Clinical Nurse Managers to support the management and oversee the Support Workers and Registered Nurses at our Terrace Gardens Aged Care Facility.

Located in Palmerston, NT, this role will see you responsible for the coordination of our consumers in residential care; the leadership and management of staff (nursing and care assistants) to ensure high quality, safe person-centred care.

The position is also responsible for providing an environment that supports learning, oversees education programs, and monitors professional standards of practice while providing safe and efficient patient care through the performance development and management process.

This role would suit a Registered Nurse with both clinical and management experience. You will have strong leadership skills and be able to manage a multi-disciplinary team. You will be hands on in your management style and enjoy providing mentorship and guidance to both your direct and indirect staff.

Terrace Gardens is an 88-bed residential home comprising of 3 wings, a combination of both single and shared rooms. Terrace Gardens also has a Memory Support Unit with a surrounding garden for outdoor activities and relaxation.

Skills & experience

To be considered for this role, we will be looking at the following experience and qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a Registered Nurse ideally within the Aged Care industry.
  • Previous experience in leading, coaching or mentoring other Healthcare staff.
  • Knowledge and ability to interpret and apply the Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory legislation.
  • Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills and ability to coach frontline staff.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and business improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of and commitment to workplace safety.
