  • Permanent Part-Time 24 hours per week.
  • Classification: Registered Nurse Year 1-8.
  • Remuneration: $35.32 -$49.60 per hour+ superannuation + leave loading

About you

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. The Registered Nurse - Outpatient services will have the opportunity to work across the Medical Centre, Radiation Oncology Department and Day Treatment Centre.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in an acute care setting, willingness to undergo professional development and training, as well as an interest in cancer care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive and accurate nursing assessment of patients.
  • Plan appropriate care in consultation with patient and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain harmonious relations with staff and behave in a professional manner.
  • Provide education to patients and carers that facilitates their understanding and care.

What you bring

  • Commitment to own personal and professional development.
  • Demonstrated communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in cancer nursing or an acute care setting.
  • Graduate Certificate in Cancer Nursing or similar or willingness to work towards same.
  • Registered Nurse authorised to practise by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and in periods of high demand.
