Workplace Based Assessment Program (International Medical Graduates)

Fairfield Hospital is thrilled to announce its involvement in the International Medical Graduate Workplace Based Assessment Pathways program. This means that you can now join the Fairfield Hospital team and earn your Australian Accreditation whilst working in various departments including Emergency, Paediatrics, O&G and Intensive Care.

This program has limited spots/ availability however if deemed suitable to undertake the Workplace based assessment program it would provide you with the below benefits.

As a part of the program you will be overseen by members of the AMC Board of Examiners and at conclusion of successfully completing the program would receive AMC Certification to continue your Employment at Fairfield Hospital.

(The Workplace Based Assessment Program can be used in place of sitting the second part of AMC Practical Examinations required for International Medical Graduates.)

JMO Wellbeing

We undertake regular JMO teaching initiatives and ensure that your learning is delivered by experienced consultants from a diverse range of disciplines. What you'll be doing

To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide effective obstetric and gynaecological services to women under supervision, while developing expertise in managing these women in a complex clinical environment. To provide patient care in the clinical specialty of Obstetrics & Gynaecology Duties involve antenatal and gynaecology clinics, ward duties, caesarean section lists working with accredited O&G medical officers.

  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  2. Minimum 2 years post graduate experience with reasonable recent experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
  3. Preparedness and ability to work independently or in a supervised environment
  4. Demonstrated teamwork and time management skills
  5. Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Demonstrated problem solving skills in the clinical setting
  7. Prepared to participate in after hours roster as requested
