The Child & Adolescent Health Unit at this Northern QLD Hospital are looking for a Paediatrician - Staff Specialist to join their team on a Permanent Part-Time basis (40hours per fortnight).

You will:

• Educate Paediatric Trainees rotating from Children's Hospital Queensland and medical staff comprising PHO/SHO/Intern/Allied Health, nursing staff and medical students. 


• Work in a family-centred environment with six other consultants championing excellence in interdisciplinary evidence-based care for children and adolescents with opportunity for research/academic appointment with James Cook University for the right candidate. 


• Contribute to patient safety, audit, research, and service planning activities. 


• This is a great role for newly minted or experienced FRACP. 


• Opportunity for further extending clinical services to local Private facilities.

Mandatory possession of a medicine degree from a registered tertiary institution and;

•  Registration with the Medical Board of Australia with Specialist registration in Paediatrics or appropriate registration with the Medical Board of Australia to practise in the specialist position and;


•  Fellowship or eligibility for Fellowship via the substantial comparability pathway of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP).


• Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.

Salary Information based on 40hrs p.f.

• Total remuneration value of up to $257,226 (L27) is comprised of: A salary between $122,124 - $129,455 (L25-L27) 


• Total remuneration value of up to $235,390 (L24) is comprised of: A salary between $102,103 - $118,598 (L18-L24)
