About the Role

Work as part of the diagnostic imaging team to provide safe and effective person centred care across diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic radiology, provide teaching and supervision of resident medical staff and students and undertake training towards attaining Fellowship of the relevant college.

You will be required to undertake diagnostic reporting, perform radiological procedures, conduct multidisciplinary clinical meeting's and partake in teaching with the treating consultant and be involved in patient care coordination. Participation in the after hours roster is expected.

Imaging at Monash Health incorporates a full range of services including CT, US, MRI, DEXA, PET, Nuclear Medicine, X-Ray, Lithotripsy, OPG, Mammography, Fluoroscopy and Interventional and Therapeutic imaging services at the Monash Medical Centre - Clayton; Monash Children's Hospital, Clayton; Dandenong Hospital, Dandenong; Casey Hospital, Berwick; Moorabbin Hospital, Bentleigh East; Kingston Centre, Cheltenham and the Pakenham Health Centre, Pakenham. Imaging also supports the Monash University Biomedical Imaging site including MRI and PET MRI. The service provides over 365,000 imaging examinations per year across all sites, currently employs approximately 500 EFT and has a gross operating budget in excess of $100M.

The Imaging program clearly defines its mission as the delivery of leading edge, evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services and research and education that meets the needs of our community and employees. About You

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to profession-led regulation.

  • Demonstrate an ability to effectively manage matters of patient safety and quality of care.
  • Understand the role of the relevant College and the associated expectations of the registrar role.

Mandatory requirements of the role:

  • Have or be eligible for AHPRA Medical Registration.
  • Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
  • Primary Medical Degree - MBBS.
  • Previous experience and completion of Internship.
