What you'll be doing:
An excellent opportunity is now available for 2nd or 3rd year Undergraduate Nurses to join the Casual pool, located at Nepean Hospital.
The imperative role of the Assistants in Nursing (AIN) provide support to the nursing team in an acute care environment as directed by the Registered Nurse/Midwife and provide direct care activities to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife.
Selection criteria to be addressed:
- Currently enrolled at university as a 2nd year undergraduate student nurse 1st semester
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
- Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide a person centred approach to patient care
- Demonstrated effective communication skills - written and verbal
- Previous experience working in an acute care setting
- Ability to work a flexible roster
- Demonstrated evidence of complying with Immunisation Category A
