The Public Health (COVID-19 Vaccination of Health Care Workers) Order 2021 commenced on 26 August 2021. The Order establishes mandatory requirements for health staff and persons working in health settings to be vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine. Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination will now be required for all NSW Health staff.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified medical/dental practitioners for the above position(s) in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. The position will be primarily located at Medical Imaging within the Department of Interventional Neuroradiology.

Successful applicants will have already been awarded their Fellowship with Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) to be considered.

The number of sessions will be ad hoc. Appointees may be eligible for credentialing and privileging across all other facilities in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.

  1. Possess or be eligible for registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
  2. Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) and/or RACP and/or RACS and Registered with CCINR (ANZSNR, NSA and ANZAN) and/or equivalent specialist recognition as provided for by the Health Insurance Act 1997 and Public Hospital (Visiting Medical Officers Sessional Contracts) Determination, and Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
  3. Sound clinical knowledge in Radiology demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position including evidence of participation in quality assurance activities relevant to the specialty.
  4. High level interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to teaching and junior medical staff supervision consistent with contemporary best practice supervision standards.
  6. Demonstrates the skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical /Dental Practitioner including modelling of a high standard of professional behavior to junior medical staff.
  7. Sound clinical knowledge in the subspecialty of [Insert name of subspecialty] demonstrated by relevant qualifications and/or appropriate post-Fellowship clinical experience..
  8. Familiarity with research concepts and commitment to support basic, applied or clinical research as required within the Department.
