Dhelkaya Health is a new health service on Dja Dja Wurrung country; it is the coming together of Castlemaine Health, Maldon Hospital and CHIRP Community Health. ‘Dhelkaya’ means ‘being healthy’ in the Dja Dja Wurrung language. The origins of our name are closely tied to our region’s history, its people and country. Dhelkaya Health is shaping a better health system for the people of Mount Alexander Shire and beyond, while staying true and local in everything it does.
Dhelkaya Health delivers a diverse range of inpatient, outpatient, aged care, community health and outreach services to Mount Alexander Shire. It also delivers assessment, rehabilitation and allied health services to neighbouring shires. Dhelkaya Health is committed to the quality, accessibility and sustainability of acute, aged and community-based healthcare, and family and housing services.

Position Title: Registered Nurse – Casual Bank
Classification: YP3 – YP9
Salary per hour: $36.10 to $48.26 + casual loading + superannuation + generous salary packaging options
Employment Type: Casual

Role description
The Registered Nurse demonstrates competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia RN standards for practice, education preparation, relevant legislative standards and codes in the context of care. The RN is required to work within scope of practice as a productive member of an interdisciplinary team to provide person centred care. It is expected the RN will demonstrate a comprehensive level of assessment; care planning, practice and evaluation in the provision of care to clients and their significant others. The RN practices independently and interdependently assuming accountability and responsibility for their own actions. Supervision and delegation provided by the RN takes into consideration the education and training of enrolled nurses and health care workers and the context of care.
About you
As a Registered Nurse team member, you will:
- Be a great communicator and enjoy contributing to a multidisciplinary health care team to ensure the highest quality of care for the local community
- Have current NMBA registration and Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent. If you have other relevant post graduate qualifications or experience, tell us more!
- Be flexible to work across both Castlemaine and Maldon campuses
- Available to work across a variety of days and shifts
- Work across a variety of units including acute and rehabilitation units, and/or residential aged care units
