ABOUT THE ROLE

Opportunities for experienced Anaesthetic/PACU and Scrub/Scout nurses to join our team. We are a 4 Theatre complex, Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Oncology surgery are the main focus with a busy emergency 24-hour theatre offering an exciting and challenging environment.

  • Permanent full time and part time positions, and various fixed termcontracts available.
  • Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg, opposite Heidelberg train station.
  • Rotating roster with no night duty unless relieving for leave. (optional)
  • On call only once a fortnight.
  • Education support available and preceptors provided if required

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience as a Perioperative nurse, minimum 1 year required.
  • Qualification in Perioperative nursing, either discipline, required.
  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Interest in women's health, desirable.
  • Able to work all shifts, night shift not required (But available when roster vacancies)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Candidates are required to meet the position and qualification requirements.
  • Provide a current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check (Mercy Health may conduct additional background checks subject to current legislation).
