The Nursing Services Team at the Proserpine Hospital is seeking applications for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager is a registered nurse who supports and works collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manger Unit Manager role of a defined unit or specific patient/client area.  This role provides leadership and direction to nursing staff and is responsible for the facilitation and provisions of operations and Human Resource Management consistent with contemporary standards and best practice within the Proserpine Hospital. The position works primarily weekends and is responsible for the coordination of the facility over this time.

About the Team

The Whitsunday Health Service is made up of two facilities, The Community Health Campus – Cannonvale and the Hospital Campus – Proserpine.  The hospital is a 35-bed acute hospital which offers a number of specialty inpatient and outpatient services. The Community Health Campus offers a range of community health services provided by a multi-disciplinary team.  The Whitsunday Heath Service covers the Whitsunday Regional Shire, Midge Point and Bloomsbury.
