Occupational Therapist

Essential Requirements:

  1. Qualification: In accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award
  2. Registration:Must hold general registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia

Selection Criteria:

  1. Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated experience in carrying a large caseload and providing evidence based paediatric Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention within a multidisciplinary setting.
  3. Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including collaborative stakeholder consultation.
  4. Extensive post graduate experience providing an advanced standard of evidence based occupational therapy assessment and intervention for children with complex needs with the ability to independently problem-solve and set priorities in complex situations.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work in partnership with families from differing psychosocial, socioeconomic and /or culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. to provide effective intervention for children within a limited session model.
  6. Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes with other staff.
  7. Demonstrated ability in managing client waitlists and ensuing the timely provision of clinical services.
  8. A valid NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to travel to fulfil requirements of role.
