Clinical Nurse Consultant/Specialist

    1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
    2. At least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time experience as a breast care nurse in Oncology, Palliative Care, Breast Cancer Nursing or related discipline. Approved post graduate nursing qualifications in a field relevant to the specialty field or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the organisation.
    3. Demonstrated evidence of strategies used to maintain current knowledge of clinical practice advances and research in the relevant specialty.
    4. Demonstrated ability to apply expert knowledge to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive.
    5. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
    6. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
    7. Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of advanced evidenced based nursing care.
    8. Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
