What you will be doing:

Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.

As a member of the Hawkesbury Executive Team, you will be working with Divisions and Directorates within the facility to ensure the provision of safe and effective services, to achieve the goals and objectives of the facility. As part of the senior leadership team, you will model behaviours aligned to the values of the organization: Collaboration, Openness, Respect, Empowerment (CORE) and Safety Agility, Fairness, Excellence and Resource Effectiveness (SAFER).

Contributing to sound operational advice for Clinical streams and Hospitals Network will be a key function of your role with you working closely with other senior executives to provide consistency of services across the LHD.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.


Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.

Selection Criteria to be Addressed:

  1. Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife Division 1 with current National Registration with APHRA and current unrestricted Drivers' Licence (Class C).
  2. Appropriate post graduate qualification or working towards
  3. Broad clinical and operational management experience at a senior level within a complex health care environment including strategic planning and the development and implementation of business / operational plans
  4. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate inspire and organise staff to achieve organisational performance indicators and professional outcomes
  5. Demonstrated experience in financial and resource management at a senior level.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary management team
  7. Experience in managing projects within a complex health care environment
  8. Computer literacy, ability to trend and interpret data and competent information seeking skills.
