ABOUT THE ROLE:

Werribee Mercy Hospital is a public hospital servicing the growing community of the West. Our Subacute Unitincludes amultidisciplinary team that provides care for people recovering from an acute illness. We foster a strong team work environment with the primary focus of providing holistic patient centredcare. We have a strong commitment to staff education and ongoing professional development offering access to regular in-services as well as a broad range of study days.

As part of our dedicated team on theGeriatric Evaluation Management (GEM) ward, you will:

  • Nurture your passion and interest for Geriatric Evaluation Management, rehabilitation, and transition care.
  • Aim to optimise patient’s functional status and quality of life while dealing with comorbidities.
  • Be an integral part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team
  • Provide exceptional clinical service to patients and their support systems while upholding a high level of professionalism.
  • Provide quality client-focused care utilising a holistic approach driven by Mercy Values.
  • Have access to a flexible rotating roster: Full time and Part Time Positions available

ABOUT YOU:

  • Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills with a focus on providing quality care and quality outcomes
  • Recent experience in acute or subacute nursing
  • Functional Independence Measure (FIM) credentialed desirable but not essential
