Clinical Nurse Consultant/Specialist

About us:

The Cancer Inpatient Unit is a 11-bed inpatient unit for Cancer Care Services. Cancer Care Services encompass – Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Haematology, and Specialist Palliative Care.

About the role:

The Registered Nurse (RN) Cancer inpatient unit is a Nurse Grade 5 is a Registered Nurse who:

Practise independently and interdependently. Assume accountability and responsibility for own actions and delegation of care to, Enrolled Nurses (EN's), Assistants in Nursing (AIN's) and healthcare workers. Demonstrate evidence of increasing autonomy and exercise greater levels of professional judgement in the clinical environment as the employee moves from a beginning to experienced practitioner.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • Cancer and Palliative care experience desirable, but not essential.
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative and effective relationships with all multidisciplinary team members.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of relevant standards, clinical guidelines and advanced clinical practice related to quality, patient safety, and risk.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $121,106 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $41.73 - $53.53 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
