Role details

The Cardiac Catheter Laboratory at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Registered Nurse to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for delivering quality patient focused, evidenced based nursing care providing leadership, direction and support to other nursing staff and students and working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team in the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.

About the Team

The Cardiac Catheter Laboratory (CCL) Team works closely with the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) to provide patients with diagnostic and interventional coronary angiograms, temporary and permanent pacemakers, TOE's and Electrical Cardioversions. CCL incorporates a procedural unit providing a (4-6) bed Day Unit, Admission, recovery and discharge of patients post coronary angiography/intervention procedures. The CCL now provides a 24/7 Emergency PCI on call service.
