An exciting opportunity exists for Registered Nurse to deliver person centred nursing care and to acts as a leader in Sterilising Services located at Nambour General Hospital.

An exciting opportunity exists for Registered Nurse to deliver person centred nursing care and to acts as a leader in Sterilising Services located at Nambour General Hospital.

Sterilising roles at Nambour will involve training in all areas of the sterilising department incorporating Steam sterilisation, Sterrad and scope reprocessing across all our surgical specialities and Patient care delivery departments.

Opportunities exist for an experienced RN with a minimum of Certificate III in Sterilising (or working towards) to join our workforce as we move to expand our services across facilities.

Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
  • Actively promote a learning environment by supporting colleagues; demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning, providing education and preceptorship and participating in research activities.
  • Act as Team Leader/ Shift Coordinator depending on experience and competence.
  • Actively participate in activities to achieve unit performance indicators and meet relevant standards.

Salary rates: $41.73 - $53.53 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 5) (Permanent or Fixed Term Temporary Part-Time, Hours negotiable.)
