Clinical Nurse Consultant/Specialist

Townsville Hospital and Health Service is seeking a Child Protection Liaison Officer to join the team within the Women's and Children's Service Group on a Permanent part time basis, 58 hours per fortnight.

Eligible health workers who make the move (interstate or international) to work with us may receive up to $20,000 in incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme (conditions apply).

About your opportunity

Working as a Child Protection Liaison Officer you will have the opportunity to provide clinical advice, consultancy and education across the Townsville Hospital and Health Service and to other government agencies to help ensure the safety and well-being of children.

Generous remuneration package value up to $101,293 p.a. (HP3) or $100,957 p.a. (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1) comprising:

  • Salary range of $38.70 to $58.67 p.h. (HP3) or $54.44 to $58.30 p.h. (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1) part-time
  • 4 - 6 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading.
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements

  • Proof of qualification (Nursing, Psychology or Social Work) and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
  • Social Workers - Blue Card Checks: Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a ‘working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position. 5.1.
  • Possession of class C drivers' licence.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
  • 6-month probation period.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
