- Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), including the ability to demonstrate a practical application of the AASW Code of Ethics. Recent post graduate clinical experience as a level 2 Social Worker or above
- Demonstrated extensive specialist knowledge in social work intervention in the fields of trauma, sudden death, domestic and family violence, child protection, victims of crime, carer issues and family conflict. Proven ability to provide assessment, case management and counselling skills and ability to make independent professional judgements.
- Extensive clinical experience as a social worker within an acute hospital setting. Demonstrated advanced assessment and reasoning skills for the management of complex caseloads in a pressurised environment.
- Proven ability to work autonomously. Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines including the ability to work within scope of practice.
- Demonstrated high level ability to communicate clearly and succinctly both verbally and in writing, and proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement activities and service evaluation processes with other staff and demonstrated capacity to provide clinical supervision.
