About the Role

We are seeking to fill the role of Associate Nurse Manager (ANM) Night Duty(50hrs per fortnight)with an excellent nursing Leader who enjoys the challenge a busy trauma unit brings. You will be key in supporting the Nurse Manager and work collaboratively with our leadership team and medical colleagues. As an ANM in theatre you will at time be responsible for the operations within the unit on a daily basis and have the opportunity to grow you leadership skills.

Looking to grow our dedicated & knowledgeable leadership team. We are wanting you to bring your demonstrated skills and experience with a theatre-based skillset to look after our patients.

Taking a team focus on delivery of care, our primary focus is on a patient’s safe journey through theatre. We have a strong education focus and encourage staff to further develop their skills, along with being a part of a friendly environment to work in.

Dandenong Hospital has 8 Operating Theatres and cater for a wide variety of surgical specialities including orthopaedics, plastics, and obstetrics, and gynaecology, ENT, colorectal, maxillofacial and general procedures. With co-located medical and post-surgical wards, we support our patients through their stay at Monash Health.

About You

With a caring and engaging manner, you bring a genuine interest and passion of Perioperative nursing. Safety is paramount in this role whilst we advocate for patients in their most vulnerable state and supporting our busy team by leading by example. We have a positive team culture and we value collaboration and the will to help each other. You will have access to resources to support you in this position, enabling you to further advance your perioperative nursing and leadership skills whilst role modelling nursing excellence and delivering a high standard of patient centred care.

What You Need:

  • Proven and extensive clinical experience within Anaesthetics/Recovery/Scrub/Scout (essential)
  • Further studies; Post graduate qualifications to perioperative nursing and advanced nursing care (desirable)
  • Current AHPRA registration
