Occupational Therapist

This position will deliver Occupational Therapy clinical services as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health within Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS).

The Role

An opportunity has become available for several Occupational Therapists (Rotational) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Deliver Occupational Therapy clinical services, including assessment, intervention and evaluation within the multidisciplinary team
  • Undertake Occupational Therapy tasks commensurate with level of experience in a complex environment of change, in accordance with clinical and departmental protocols
  • Engage positively with change, including implementing methods to optimise own resilience, flexibility and reflective practice
  • As experience builds, apply increasingly independent clinical reasoning skills across a more complex clinical caseload, under the clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of a more experienced practitioner

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised tertiary institution
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Drivers Licence
  • Availability to take part in a roster across 7 days including on call
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent full time, Permanent part time, Temporary full time and Temporary part time (multiple positions, temporary contracts are up to 12 months with the possibility of extension, hours negotiable)
  • Base salary ranging from $76 747- $112 805 per annum or $2941.70 - $ 4323.80 per fortnight or $38.70- $56.89 per hour
