Position Summary:
Vacancy exist in the above unit for a highly motivated Assistant In Nursing with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care.
Xavier 9N/MAU comprises of 24 bed acute aged care and 10 bed Medical Assessment Unit. The successful applicant should hold a strong passion in dementia, delirium and behaviour management with a Zero Harm focus.

Selection Criteria
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
- HLT32507 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Descriptor: Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) or equivalent or Undergraduate Nursing Student within a recognised Australian University Program with successful completion of all subjects up to second semester of second year with documented evidence of semester results.
- Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated effective time management skills.
