Position Summary:
Vacancy exist in the above unit for a highly motivated Assistant In Nursing with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care.

Xavier 9N/MAU comprises of 24 bed acute aged care and 10 bed Medical Assessment Unit. The successful applicant should hold a strong passion in dementia, delirium and behaviour management with a Zero Harm focus.

Selection Criteria

  1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
  2. HLT32507 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Descriptor: Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) or equivalent or Undergraduate Nursing Student within a recognised Australian University Program with successful completion of all subjects up to second semester of second year with documented evidence of semester results.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team.
  4. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  5. Demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system.
  6. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Demonstrated effective time management skills.
