Speech Pathologist

Bayside Health Services are looking for a Senior Speech Pathologist to join their team. The Speech Pathology Department is based at Redland Hospital and is spread between the Redland Hospital, Wynnum-Manly Community Health Service and Redland Residential Care. The Senior Speech Pathologist will deliver services within a sole clinical role in the areas of feeding / dysphagia, with services provided across the Special Care Nursey, Paediatric Ward, Maternity Ward, Emergency Department and Post-Acute and Outpatient Clinics. The role part time for 7 months.

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to deliver senior Paediatric Speech Pathology services within a sole clinical role in the areas of feeding / dysphagia, with services provided across the Special Care Nursey, Paediatric Ward, Maternity Ward, Emergency Department and Post-Acute and Outpatient Clinics.

This includes:

  • Delivering high quality evidenced based Paediatric Speech Pathology clinical services to patients/consumers within a highly functioning multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribution to the advancement of quality Paediatric Speech Pathology services and optimal patient care, through provision of service development, quality improvement, and clinical education.
  • Monitoring and reporting on work practices and outcomes, including initiating, planning and evaluating relevant quality and research initiatives.
  • Providing supervision and training to less experienced (HP3) clinicians, students and to Allied Health Assistants (AHA's).
